Prices on all sizes of Nualgi will increase on January 1, 2021.
Why are prices increasing?
Due to global economic factors that are out of our control, the cost of doing business has increased significantly since we last updated our prices in February 2017.
The majority of these increases come from the following factors:
- Shipping & Freight
- Raw Materials
- Product Packaging
Shipping & Freight
Each year the major shipping carriers adjust their rates to reflect changes in global shipping costs.
We have absorbed these cost increases over the last 4 years while still offering free shipping to all customers in the United States.
This year the increases from all major shipping providers are significant.
- UPS increased rates an average of 4.9% on January 18th, 2021.
- FedEx will increase rates an average of 4.9% on December 27th, 2020.
- USPS will increase rates an average of 4.9% on January 24, 2021.
While the average increase is 4.9%, the cost of shipping for Nualgi will be higher because of the size packages we send.
Raw Materials
The cost of the Nano-silica which is at the core of our product formulation has increased significantly in the last 4 years. Our source is proprietary, but we can share an announcement from a similar provider increasing prices by 15% on January 1st, 2021.
Product Packaging
Due to the global pandemic, manufacturers have made a significant shift from bulk-sized commercial packaging to smaller packaging for in-home use. The result has been a global shortage of bottling and labeling materials and as you may remember from economics class, increased demand with reduced supply = price increases.
